Assuming that you are using the Google Drive App, and by "something" you mean a PDF, Open the PDF in the Drive App, tap on the three dots on the top right corner, then tap on Send a Copy. Tap on the "Open In" icon on the bottom row, and then tap on "Copy to iBooks" option in the list of available Apps.

It only gives me :
send a copy (sometimes my iBooks will appear in here. How can I make it always be an option?)

Is there a way to get it as an option? Right now I only have message, mail, gmail and my expanded ( . ) gives me reminders, Facebook, messenger, pinterest,
Tap on the "Open in" Option below those options:
That should bring up another menu with more App options including iBooks.

If its not a PDF, or other supported epub format iBooks will not be an option since it only appears for file formats it supports.

Show more Less User level: Level 6 10,354 pointsGoogle Drive has been having all sorts of issues opening files using the sharing option (Open in) in iOS. that is, what used to work on older versions may not work on newer versions. Some versions (no longer available unless you archive your apps and have a copy stored locally) still work while the newest again breaks functionality. Google Drive has recently changed the way files are identified and which options are shown when iOS's file sharing feature is used. now Google Drive scans the file somehow to identify it instead of simply looking at the file extension (like .pdf). They complicated the process needlessly while breaking basic functionality. The specific version of Google Drive makes all the difference whether or not Google Drive will properly handle the file. The version I am using that still works is v4.1.36890. I believe newer versions once again broke accessing PDFs. One of the most frequently recommended work-arounds is to simply use another cloud-based file system like Dropbox.
